This Privacy Policy explains how Backlight Innovation S.R.L. (“Backlight”, “we”, “us”) collects and processes personal data when you visit backlight.ventures (the “Site”) or contact us through it. We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and applicable national law.

2. What data we collect
The Site is a static, informational website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking, and loads all fonts from our own domain — so it makes no third-party requests with your data. The only personal data processed is:
Technical data. Our hosting provider automatically processes limited technical data necessary to serve the Site, such as IP address, browser type and timestamps, recorded in server logs for security and operation.
3. Why we process it and the legal basis
- To operate and secure the Site — legitimate interest in a functioning, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. How long we keep it
Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and operational purposes. You may ask us to delete any data relating to you at any time (see Section 7).
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We rely on:
- Hostinger — our hosting provider, serving the Site.
6. International transfers
Our hosting provider is established in the European Union. Should any data be processed outside the European Economic Area, such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. You can request details from us.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
